Hi Kimber and Donald. Coming into this thread a little late, but I don't
know if anyone suggested resetting your device to factory defaults. Usually
fixes most things.

Did you try turning off tripple click home altogether? I don't mean to
belabor the point, but that is the only solution that worked for me.
