Hi Don, I use an iPad 4 and if I put my four fingers at the very bottom of the screen just off of it and swipe up with for fingers the app switcher will come up. I don't know if that gesture will work on an iPod. Also you have to have I think it is cold multiple finger gestures turn on.

No luck. Absolutely nothing happens when I press the home button twice. This prompts two questions. First, is there any other way to get into the app switcher?
