Thanks for the reply, but no that's not it. I'm gonna have to chase up an acquaintance who mentioned it to me before I had an iphone. He said it was a windows/PC based program and not an app...if I find out I'll report back, cheers Steve.

Sounds like you might be talking about a program like DropBox. It stores files in the cloud which you can then access from almost any device.
