I still have mine. I find it a bit finicky. When it starts screwing up the
manual says to lay it on a flat surface for at least 10 seconds for the
sensors to reset themselves. Other then that, I like the fact that
everything goes through the ear peace and not the iPhone speaker. The other
night I wanted to finish listening to a NLS Talking book through the bard
app. My wife wanted to get some sleep as she had to work the next morning.
My Legend was on my nightstand so all I did was to turn it on. Then put the
ear peace on my left ear and continue reading.
Do I think it's worth the retail price of 99 dollars? No way but I'm cheap
by nature but the best price I found at the time was at Amazon for $69.99.
In my opinion, 30 bucks in my pocket is better then in their pocket. As I
understand it, there is an update to the firmware. It fixes bugs and adds
functionality according to their web site. You need to download and their
updater software. I tried on 2 different computers to download the updater
with 0 success.
Again, I do like the ear peace. It has a clean clear sound and the ability
to take a phone call or to ignore it sending the caller to voice mail is
very handy. When a phone call comes in, the legend asks you, answer or
ignore. You are also told who it is that's calling. The ear peace asks to
access your contacts during setup. It's nice to hear Joe blow is calling.
Answer or ignore. Then it's up to you to choose. Would I buy another one?
Yes I probably would even though I'm not crazy about the price but nothing
costs what I think it should anyway but like I said, I'm cheap! <grin>
