Hi Alan, Thanks for your very thoughtful reply. Books were originally scanned with Kurzweil and saved to .txt format. They were thenatransferred using Dropbox to Voicedream on the iPad 2. The PC to which the books were originally scanned died in a power surge that destroyed the motherboard. The issue with Voicedream is that instead of a list of books to restore as you would see in Read2go there is a database consisting of a number of files. I was able to get these files into iTunes, and ITunes has recognized both the old and new iPad, but the problem is that syncing of the database info to Voicedream on the new iPad doesn't seem to work. The books just aren't there, despite the fact that I successfully added the database info to iTunes. I haven't given up though, so cross your fingers for me.
