What is confusing is that you use the term "sync" which is different in my mind 
than using file sharing.
You probably mean the same thing but to be sure.
When the iPad is connected to the computer and you open iTunes.
In the sources tree, select the iPad and then tab to the Apps checkbox and 
check it.
Then tab until you get to  file sharing.
When you get to the list of apps that can use file sharing, arrow down to Voice 
Dream and then tab to the add button.
Hit spacebar on the add button and browse to the location of the files.
Once the files are selected tab to the open button and hit spacebar or enter.
That should upload the files to the iPad.
