Hello to all, Over the years, I have seen the discussion with regard to the screen curtain and its battery saving potential. I know the logic behind the argument that says it doesn't save any battery life. However, I have noticed the following: often, when I am trying to sleep, I plugged my ears into an earphone (wired) and attempt to sooth my worried soul by way of a distracting book. In other words, escapism is a good way to get me to go to sleep! Now, and here is the point, the case on my iPhone has a flap which folds over the front of the phone, if I am using an app such as I like to read, and I leave the screen curtain off, when I wake up, usually about 3 o'clock in the morning, upon touching the phone I find it is hot! But, when I had the screen curtain on, I find the phone is only it's usual warm self. This indicates to me, knowing that heat is one expression of energy, that the phone does use up more energy when the screen is visibly bright. In other words, if the screen is giving off more heat when the screen curtain is off, then more power/energy must be being wasted. I do have a little vision, these days, nevertheless, I find I use the screen curtain most of the time.
