Wow, specifically with Pandora I find the latest version a lot better. Especially the fact they properly labeled the thump up and volume controls buttons at the bottom. Personally I like the pqandora interface on the iPad better though. yes, it's got quirks, but over all it's fine.

However to archive an old app, yes, copy the app you want to not update and keep it in a separate folder. Then if you upgrade and the new one isn't good for you, remove it from your iTunes library, then copy over the older app back into the mobile applications folder and then it will be added to iTunes where you can sync it.

Hope that helps.

Tracy,

You could simply make a folder in Windows at whichever location you want and
call it App Backups. Then Copy the apps you know are working and accessible
from your Mobile Applications folder to this folder. This way if you
accidently update an app both on your phone and in iTunes you just have to
delete said app from your phone and from the Mobile Applications folder,
copy the older version from your App Backups folder back into the Mobile
Applications folder and sync it to your phone.

Subject: Keeping an archive of an app

Hi all,

Is it possible to keep archive copies of apps?

Pandora is a perfect example. Version 5.3 and beyond, so far, has lost some
accessibility. I have been lucky enough that on my laptop, I have an older
version. I deleted the up to date copy on my phone, then synced the older
version via my laptop. How long can I keep this copy, or even better, can I
create an app archive folder for safe keeping?

Thanks,
Traci
