Hi Christina, A dialog doesn't pop up automatically on my Mac either, but if I open iPhoto, there is an option to import the photos. Your friend may find that while her phone is plugged into her PC, she can open Windows Explorer and will find the iPhone listed as a drive. The only folder that will be accessible through this drive is her photos. She can then copy or cut those photos and paste them in whatever folder she wishes on her computer.
