Hi Christina, Whether a dialogue comes up or not depends on the autoplay settings on your PC. In any case, as far as pictures are concerned, an iPhone is just like a USB stick or USB drive and is accessible via a drive letter or Windows Explorer. All you have to do is connect your phone and then open Windows Explorer by typing Windows Key+E or you can go to the Start Menu, arrow to the right and then down to "Computer". Your iPhone will be listed as a drive. You can go into the folder, highlight any pictures you want or use Control+A to highlight them all, then use Control+C to copy them to the clipboard. Now go into whichever folder you want to copy them to and use Control+v to paste them. Note that you can only "copy" and not "move pictures. However, once they are copied you can go back to your iPhone's picture folder, highlight them all and delete them. This will mean your Camera Roll is then completely empty.

Also, I just helped a friend on her backup her iPhone on a PC because she had never done it in three years and didn't know how. She also wanted to get her pictures off of her phone and we never got a dialog box that asked us to import the pictures. We still do not know how to get the pictures off of her iPhone and onto her PC.
