Hello Todd, You sound so angry and that makes me sad for you.
There is truly no reason to be hostile to anyone on the list. All of the respondent are merely trying to help you with your enquiry. I, too, am both visually and hearing challenged and as such, I find it, sometimes, more convenient to use Braille than magnified text or speech output. I am not exactly positive about VoiceOver as many are but I can tell you that on my Windows computer, if I don't have a screen reader installed that supports Braille, such as Jaws, I cannot get my Braille display to work. One time, a while back, I called the makers of Zoomtext, who, as you know offer both a screen magnifier and a text-to-speech engine. I asked them if I could use my Braille display via Zoomtext only and they told me know because ZT did not, and I presume still does not, include a built-in Braille translator. Now, perhaps on Windows, there is now a non-speech stand-alone Braille translator that allows one to use a refreshable Braille display but, as far as I and many others are aware, this does not yet exist in either iOS or OSX. Todd, as the saying goes, "don't shoot the messengers," okay? Have a good day and know that we're all friends here.
