Whatever you choose to do, there are pros and cons, of course. If you switch to a Mac, you will be learning a new operating system and a new screen reader, and you'll have to allow time and effort for that. If you are up to it, it has the potential of being very rewarding. There's also something to be said for choosing what you know.
When I got my Mac, I considered very carefully that I'd have to "crawl" before I could "walk". It took me about a month to get up to speed, but each person's mileage will vary. Remember that you can use your iDevice with either the Mac or PC. Good luck, whatever you choose to do.
