Hi Rob, I just tried this with Agogo and it plays fine for me in the background. If I start playing something and then press home to go out of the app it continues to play and if I then press the power button to lock my phone it still continues to play. Have you tried to reboot your phone? Occasionally Audible stops playing if I exit the app or lock the screen, a reboot always fixes this problem.
