Sieghard, I do keep my iPhone in my pocket but with the connector and headphone jack end toward the top for easier access. Sounds like I need to get some compressed air.

However, I'm now starting to get it from time to time when charging using the Apple cable that came with my iPhone. I'm curious with what others have experienced with their Apple cables and how long they've lasted. I take extremely good care of my stuff almost to the point of being OCD so I'm concerned that this message is starting to occur too frequently.
