This is what I do.
One. Import a disk onto the iTunes player as this will create a music folder in
iTunes media which is inside of the iTunes folder which is found inside of the
windows music folder.
Two. Now copy and paste The folders that are found inside of your back up
music folder of the iTunes media folder into the new music folder inside of
iTunes media.
Three. Now copy and paste those folders an files from the new music folder
onto the itunes player.
