Sorry if this was already answered, but I didn't see it if it was.

On your first point, no there's no fix for this that I know of. If you open up a folder then you'll see the number of unread messages in that folder on the top of the screen, but you don't see it in the folder list. I think this changed from IOS 6 to IOS 7.

I don't know what you mean by your second point. What do you mean when you say you delete messages out of both boxes? Which boxes are you talking about?
