Based on Lynn's email below, I'm pretty sure we're talking about the in
box and the all mail folder on a Gmail account.

This looks kind of confusing to me. I'm not sure about the terminology
being used. There are inboxes for each account, there is ALL INBOXES and
then there is ALL MAILBOXES. All mailboxes doesn't actually show any
emails; it is the hallway from which you choose the various doors into
accounts and boxes. All INBOXES shows all your incoming emails
regardless of which account they came to when sent. Each individual
inbox shows the mail that came to that account so of course mail will
show up in ALL INBOXES and one of the inboxes. As for ALL MAIL, there is
or can be such a mailbox at least in gmail which would indeed contain
all messages including ones deleted according to your setup. I'm not
sure what the exact issue is here but I think the terminology being used
might be creating confusion.

I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf.
I got crumpled wads of tear-stained paper thrown in the trash!
Then God gave me a new heart and life:
His joy for my despairing tears!
And now, every day:
"This I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness."

Hi Christopher,
Well, what is happening is that they messages show up in both all-male
and inboxes. I haven't had the occurrence that happened a few days ago
when the deleted messages suddenly showed back up in both inbox and
all mailboxes. Hope that helps to clarify. Thanks.

Sorry if this was already answered, but I didn't see it if it was.
On your first point, no there's no fix for this that I know of. If
you open up a folder then you'll see the number of unread messages in
that folder on the top of the screen, but you don't see it in the
folder list. I think this changed from IOS 6 to IOS 7.
I don't know what you mean by your second point. What do you mean
when you say you delete messages out of both boxes? Which boxes are
you talking about?

Two problems.
The first thing is that I used to know how many messages were in the
inbox and the all mailboxes. However, that information is no longer
available to me. Is there a fix for this?
The other problem is is that when I delete messages from both boxes,
they suddenly appear again. Is there a cure for this.
By the way, my Mail account is a Gmail account. Hope that helps to
solve the issue. Thanks
