Pablo,

The watch is also a fashion statement. Some people will have it just to be in
style. Having said that, it is not always convenient to pull out your phone.
In our Canadian winters, it will be much much simpler to use the watch to do
whatever is needed on the phone. Having to open your coat when it is minus 30
degrees C just to ask SIRI something is not good. If some people carry their
phone in a back pack, the watch is much better than hunting for the phone. A
woman who doesn’t have any pockets most of the time has her phone in her purse.
Again, it is much easier to use the watch as a vehicle to the iPhone.

So you see, I could go on all day with instances why people would want or
sometimes need the convenience of a watch. A blanket statement like you are
making here is unreasonable. Depending on circumstances, we can’t do with the
phone what will be possible to do with the watch. I can’t afford both but, I do
understand that it would be very nice to have both if I could.

In this case, what is the function of the iWatch?

If the iWatch is needing a iDevice to provide the accessibility, then will be
better do not buy it, because with the iPhone, we are able to do the same
things that with the watch.

my understanding is that the watch does little by itself, and must be paired
with an i device, so accessibility will likely be provided through the I device.

The latest-generation iPod shuffles have VO on them, so why not the Apple
Watch? I won't be able to buy one for the time being, but I'm intensely curious
about it.

If Apple can make the Apple watch accessible, they will make it accessible.
Personally, after watching the keynote again, I will be amazed if they can pull
it off. This device is very small.
But I am also wondering if having the apple watch would deliver any advantage
over the way I use my iPhone.

But that being said... If the Apple watch is accessible, I will be one of the
first to buy one. I am kind of a gadget not.
