I would contact the developer of the app and, in a nice way, let them know that, although you appreciate their time and effort, blind people don't need the app to be made for people who know nothing about how to operate an app, nor are we simpletons. In future updates, which I would be interested in, here are examples of past oversimplifications that aren't necessary. Then list them. Encourage them to work on the app to make it better for users. If enough interest and constructive criticism, we might get something more to our liking.
