Yes, ovens are a pain, mine has some Velcro pieces on it and still sometimes
I can't get the temperature to set right. Annoying since now no one here to
take a look if I am uncertain.
My late husband was giving me grief about it once and I told him to turn off
his eyes and do it all perfectly, guess what, I missed also when he closed
his eyes.
I don't really want a new range but I could control it with my phone it
might be worth it.

Yep, that's life, and it's not fair, but it's okay. We just have to deal
with it. It took me three months to find an oven I could use. all of them
are flat pannels for the controls now; it's just the way things are. we have
to deal.
