I just double checked on the Apple web site and indeed, Apple is not putting the new chip in the iPad Mini 3. It will have the A7 64 bit chip. So touch ID and some other stuff is all that is new. And, no word about any new iPod Touch, so it could be the mini is going to replace the Touch. Just a guess. Richard
