He refers to the power button which locks your screen if you press it once. I would, however, not recommend using the method he describes of pressing the power button 5 times quickly. This crashes the springboard and while it most likely won't do anything, it could cause apps to crash or loose information. This has been discussed before and this actually does not work if Voiceover is not running for some reason and it's definitely not an official way to reset your phone.
