Hi Arnold, Obviously, people are having varying results. In my case, I use Safari a lot on an iPad mini and my iPhone 5S. I have found that the workaround touching the status bar works extremely well in almost all cases. I really hope they fix the problem, but I have not found it to be a huge impediment to my successful web surfing. Mary
