The following is another Safari issue I ran across. It's one of the reasons
I won't update my ipad mini to 8.1.1.
With Ios 7 I could start flicking from the top of a webpage to the bottom
of the webpage. With Ios 8, this no longer seems to be the case. Almost
all
of the time voiceover reads the status line at the bottom of the screen
instead of continuing to the bottom of the webpage.
When using the rotor to select to navigate by headings or links, In most
cases, voiceover will not read all of the headings or links on the webpage.

I thought I remembered reading on this list that when this going back a page
bug occurs, touch the status bar, and focus would be restored. I have yet
to upgrade from 7.1.2. I was planning to do so, probably this weekend, but
if this work around, or a work around, is not found for this bug, I probably
will delay upgrading again, being that I use Safari quite often.

after upgrading to ios 8.1.1 on my 5th generation ipod touch I still have

In 8.1.1 is that bug fixed? Currently with 8.1 when I go back a page
voiceOver completely locks up on me and I can’t do anything on that page.
Sometimes, I lose voiceOver completely. I understand that I can experiment
for myself after I update but according to iTunes it’s going to take 2 hours
to download the update. :(
