Hi, You do need to be careful with switch boxes and the Apple TV. They don't like to wake up on many of those types of things. I tried several of them including a pretty good HDMI 5 out 1 in box and the Apple TV did not want to wake up with it on any of the five ports. Also my cable box kept losing the signal on each of the ports.
