Hello Terri,

There are so many things that can contribute to making mail clients either work
well or not.

Some things to keep in mind is that it is best to use iMap instead of POP 3.

Assuming this is the case, with very few exceptions, make sure the Mail app is
set to move deleted messages to the Trash folder located on the server. This
is to insure that, should you choose to use additional clients on other
devices, assuming you have them set the same way, everything will sync
beautifully.

To configure the location to where your deleted messages should be moved, on
your iOS device:

1.
Open Settings.

2.
Open Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

3.
Select the server domain account.

4.
Select the actual mail account button located near the top of the screen.

5.
Select the Advanced button located near the bottom of the screen.

6.
Double Tap on the Deleted Mailbox Button and select the folder where the
deleted messages should be moved.

Make sure to explore the Advanced area thoroughly to gain a better
understanding of all of your options.

Finally, the method I use to delete mail items in the Mail app, is the same
method I use for deleteing text messages. I simply single-finger swipe up or
down until I hear VoiceOver say Delete. Then I select that option.

Good Luck,

Mark

Subject: When deleting email from my phone, why doesn't it always delete?

Hello everyone,

As my subject says having trouble deleting email at times. How do you not
understand what could be going on. I can delete email. Usually it will delete.
However, I will think that I have deleted a bunch of messages, only to find out
that helpful when I deleted or thought I deleted, is still there.
Why does this happen? Does anyone know? Does anyone else have this issue?
If so, what can I do about it? I have a turn of email, in my inbox, and I would
really like to get rid of it? Is there a way to delete a bunch of mail at once?
Or do I have to go through it one by one?

Any help with this, or doesn't suggestions, it would be very much appreciated.

Thank you so much!

Terri
