The version of iTunes you run is more about what works with your iDevice and its version of iOS. Also, older computers running 32-bit versions of Windows must use the appropriate iTunes and not a 64-bit version.
You might not want to install iTunes 12.x if you enjoy the sidebar window since that was removed from iTunes 12. I find that iTunes 11.1.6 runs very well on my Windows XP system. Here is a link to an Apple download page that has some older versions of iTunes as well as the latest version. Depending on your iDevice, you might consider iTunes 11.1.5 for Windows 32-bit: http://support.apple.com/downloads/#itunes Alan Lemly -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ben Mustill-Rose Sent: Monday, December 22, 2014 7:23 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: old version of ITunes for XP Hi, Click this https://ninite.com/itunes/ link then click the download installer link if the download doesn't start automatically. Once the Ninite program opens it will download & install iTunes for you without you having to do anything. Cheers, Ben. On 12/22/14, Deidre Muccio <[email protected]> wrote: > I'm confused.
