Yes, there is also an option to transfer purchases from your iPod to iTunes, which is a good idea to do when you've downloaded apps to a device and not the computer. If you do an encrypted backup, make sure you use a password you won't forget! If you forget it, you are completely out of luck. But, if you have made sure all your apps are backed up on the computer, restoring your new device from that backup, should get you everything you want. Encrypted backups also backup passwords, which is really nice. You could called Apple Accessibility and have them help walk you through what you need to do. HTH, Richard
