But you're able to use TurboVNC?  Or are you tunneling that through SSh
as well?

Yes, that is pretty much the only functional drawback of TurboVNC (no
seamless windows.)  I dream of a high-performance X proxy that supports
remote stereo and seamless windows and isn't based on VNC.

I'd settle for an open source X server on Windows that performed even
half as well as Exceed.  Such does not exist.  Cygwin/X is the closest
contender but still does not provide nearly the performance with MIT-SHM
that VirtualGL needs, nor does it support hardware-accelerated stereo
OpenGL drawing.
