Hi Oli,

chan_zap has a builtin interdigit timeout. a "." as Wildcard means there can come any more digits, so chan_zap waits anyway about 3-4 Seconds before createing the outbound call.

In chan_visdn (like in chan_misdn) i think there is real support of overlapdial. Which means you can dial out with the amount of digits you passed already and add extra digits later.

is it possible to use overlap dial with IAX2 or SIP? i guess both
protocols don't support it...

You could use app_waitfordigits to wait an arbitrary amount of milliseconds before makeing the outbound call (you can also pass a maximum amount of digits).

Get it at:

thanks, i guess this is the proper way to do it...

... but i know use # to terminate the number (users have to dial 987#
instead of 987).

it would be nice, if there were an wait option in visdn. i think visdn
should work similar to zap hardware in the default configuration and
VISDNOverlapDial should be optional. but thats only my opinion :-)
