New issue cropping up relating to this:

I was able to move the CP Directory off the RES volume, and placed it at the
head of the paging volume. I changed the cylinder description on 510RES from
DRCT to PERM, and set up the DRCT cylinders on 510PAG, and used DIRECTXA to
populate the new directory. The system comes up using the directory on 510PAG.
So far so good.

Looking at the DIRM DIRMAP command, the old directory cylinders still show up
as .DRCT., and the new directory cylinders aren't marked at all.

Is there a way to get DirMaint to "re-read" its sources and rebuild the .xxx.
Entries?

(p.s. Don't try to DDR the directory to another volume... Doesn't work all that
well.... Or at all. Make sure you have a source directory to set the new DRCT
from. :-)

Subject: Anomaly in the default paging and spooling setup in zVM 5.1

It is not a problem to have cylinder 0 allocated as PAGE or SPOL. z/VM
will write page and spool data to cylinder 0 if it is allocated as such,
but will not overwrite the records containing the volume information
(label, allocation map, etc.).
