Yeah, we thought of that. Just wondering if there might be an alternative method. (e.g.: via a CP command).

Subject: Remotly connecting VSE dialed consoles?

At our shop we run with VSE dialed consoles on PCOMM  emulated 3270 sessions.

VSEs run as guests under z/VM 3.1.

We have the capability of doing work from home via VPN.

The question is: if we need to remotely do VSE maintenance (e.g..: #CP RESET 01F and

#CP DIAL 01F (from home) then doing an AR REIPL NOPROMPT at the VSE console, is there anyway to reattach the

VSE console to the Operator’s PCOMM session (i.e.: without having to send them an emoil/msg that they have to do a redial after we remotely do a

%RETURN (or is it %RESET (or *CP RESET 01F?)).

TIA

Don
