Cecelia, When you get around to reading manuals, the references I cited in the 3494 ATL Operator's Guide are what you need to read & understand. Basically, once you put the drives in standalone mode you'll issue a command from the Tape Libary Manager console to tell the robot arm which tape to retrieve and mount. The tape being mounted can be either one of the tapes inside the library or a tape from the convenience I/O station.
