The current level of XCOM for VM was released about 10 years ago. Support for the product is OK, but I have not been able to get hold of a refresh tape so problem fixing requires a sniper approach. That said, it has been fairly reliable in our shop. Implementations of XCOM are available for z/OS, Windows, Unix (not sure about Linux specifically), AS/400 and some others, and newer versions are available for those platforms. Unfortunately XCOM for VM is an SNA only application; there is no support for TCP/IP and none planned. I believe that CONNECT:Direct for VM is no longer marketed.
