We use the
LOGMSG, sparingly, as a tool to alert users to upcoming events that will affect
them. One such recent event was a change in the policy regarding idle users. We
keep the LOGMSG for a short duration, then delete the file. We want
the users to recognize that something different is happening, so we do not display
a LOGMSG at every logon. That way, it is an unusual event that might jolt them
into a state of awareness. Regards, Richard Schuh -----Original
