It seems to me that the 'test' target in the DESCRIP.MMS file would be a
reasonable place to start.
Of course, you can't assume that customers have MMS installed, but that's not
really the point. There are a number of IVP-like steps taken as part of the
Perl build that would be ideal for this and could probably be extracted out into
a .COM file as a separate IVP pass.
