Thanks, though I don't see that change in either "Multiplicity and
Thread Fixes for VMS" nor "Quick thread speedup" -- is there another
patch I missed?  It does sound like it would help, though it might
not be the whole battle since the definition of "EXT" is different
depending on where you are (i.e., can be globaldef or globaref).  Am
I wrong in remembering that functions have to be globaldef to be
exported from a shareable image?
