This is the problem I reported earlier where [.foo] means a zero-length file in the directory [.foo] but foo.dir means the directory itself. On some VMS systems this stops the build in its tracks and on some it doesn't. I'm not 100% sure what makes the difference but it's not a VAX/Alpha thing -- I've seen it on OpenVMS Alpha v7.1. -- ________________________________________ Craig A.
