Well, there's a 5.005_03 for VAX at the following location, as well
as assorted later builds for Alpha:

http://www.sidhe.org/vmsperl/prebuilt.html

An hp-supported binary kit of 5.6.1 for Alpha is available here:

http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/products/ips/apache/csws_modperl.html

The latest freeware CD has a more current version of Perl, including
an Alpha binary:

If you have even a single-use C compiler, you're probably better off
building a current version of Perl for yourself. The latest
production quality source distribution (currently at version 5.8.4)
is always at:

http://www.perl.com/CPAN/src/stable.tar.gz
