Doh!  Makes sense actually.  The flags include /prefix=all, which
makes it able to find CRTL routines that your compiler version didn't
know about at the time of its release.  But that leaves the
downstream failures unexplained.  Probably rooting through the
listings would be the only way to see what's going on.
