Hi Lia,
Are you using 'colliding fronts' as the initial segmentation method?
If so, note that only regions where the fronts that are in opposite directions define the segmented region. When working on a linear segment that's fine, but when working on a rounded part the segmentation may be partial.

Is this explanation relevant for your case?

    Hello all!

I have a problem with aorta segmentation. I'm using this code / vmtklevelsetsegmentation -ifile image_volume_voi.vti -ofile
level_sets.vti/. This works perfectly if i select a small and
linear volume. The problem is when i try to reconstruct the aorta
cross. It doesnt appear fully reconstructed but half
reconstructed. Can anyone help me with that?

    Thanks

Hi! Yes, i'm using collliding fronts.. I managed to fix the problem with the segmentation of small branches and then i merged all and it was perfect :)

I have another question btw. After the segmentation i computed a centerline and extracted the values of the centerpoints to a format .dat . I got the X Y Z coordinates and the MaximumInscribedSphereRadius. I'm guessing that the unities comes in mm. Is that right?

Best regards
