Hi all,

I'm running WinVNC 3.3.3 as a service on Windows 2000 (service pack 2).

I can connect fine from a variety of clients (Linux, WinME, etc).

However, invoking a popup menu causes problems.

The initial menu is displayed correctly, but as the mouse moves over it,
items do not highlight properly. Only the rectangle under the mouse pointer
is drawn in "highlight", rather than the whole of the menu item. As the mouse
moves off the item, it's not restored correctly - the result is a "trail" of
highlighting that marks the path of the mouse.

I can provide screen shots of what's happening if need be.

This is most noticeable in Word 2000. It also happens less predictably when
right-clicking on the icons in the Windows 2000 task-bar.

The same problem appears on both Linux clients and Windows clients. At a
guess, I'd say the server doesn't realise the pop-up highlighting is taking
place, and hence is sending partially out-of-date graphic data to the clients.

Any advice on how to solve this would be appreciated.

Regards,
Paul.
