Hi Doug, first of all you should install a personal firewall on your computer in order to protect yourself and to check all connections from and to the internet. There are a couple of firewalls available which are for free, if they are only used for personal use.
VNC is using point to point connections, which are normally direct connections but it can also be used with additional tools to connect via a socks server. But nevertheless in order to access another computer, the vnc server must run on the destination computer. If you do not have running vnc server on your computer, no one can access your computer with vnc. What ip address did you trace? Was it 213.239.46.110 (www.realvnc.com)? This site is hosted by a provider, the original server name for this ip address which a nslookup shows is raq2100.ak2net.com. This server is probably hosting quite a lot of other domains too. I recently discovered a NetServer Bus on my computer and I have a trace program that traces an IP address back to the person I believe is accessing me. During the backward trace, one of the junctions it stops at is yours. I traced your website and it has the exact same address that the junction point of my original trace has. My question is this: How, exactly, does your program work? Once someone installs it on they're computer and they want to access another computer outside their immediate area, does the program go through servers of yours? Now, I'm what you would call an intermediate when it comes to this kind of computer use, so if I'm not making sense, please, email me back with questions I can answer that can help you help me. I appreciate your time and look forward to solving this puzzle, if you will. You must understand how concerned I am, believing someone has accessed my computer. Thank you again for any help you can provide.
