Hi all,
Further elaboration on my email from yesterday (Win.ini Run command et al)
and Shaun's note below:
Shaun is corret, drill down to the specific location that he mentions below,
and make sure that there is an String value entry called WinVNC. Its' value
should be:
""C:\PROGRAM FILES\ORL\VNC\WINVNC.EXE" -service"
Note 1.
if you will need to check the path name. With the older, VNC 3.3.3 r9, the
above path is correct. Other flavours of VNC may have other paths.
Note 2.
Note the beginning double quotes!
Note 3.
While I wasn't wrong (exactly), I did find that you don't need to use the
RUN= command in the Win.ini file in Win9x machines.
Regards,
- Ricardo

Subject: Vnc as service on win9x
To get VNC to start prior to anyone logging in on a win9x machine, put the
string to start winvnc.exe in this registry key:
Hklm\software\microsoft\windows\current version\runservices
This is the same place where antivirus and other services start from.
