Maximum transition unit due to dsl overhead in packet and packet fragmentation. The router will just be resizing the packet.

They had same problem and I (and few others on the list) had) this problem. Looks like something to do with MTU settings on the router in all my cases. Changed it 1492 in the advance settings and the problem was solved right away. I did not change anything on computers as I did not have to. Hope it works for you too. I am new to VNC, and am troubleshooting an existing setup which I did not configure. The problem I am having is that, in the last couple of days, I have been getting complaints from users that when they connect to the VNC server (RH 7.1) via vncviewer (from windows) all they get is a grey screen. Looking at the logs I also find the following error repeatedly: > > gdm[17061]: gdm_child_action: Aborting display magneto.se.insighome.com:12 > > I have tried to restart the VNC server from /etc/init.d/vncserver script without any luck. At this point I am completely puzzled as to why this is happening. I am new to VNC and I was not responsible for configuring the current setup. Any help would be appreciated. > > Thanks > > Tinu > _______________________________________________ > VNC-List mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
