I would like to install TightVNC 1.2.6 on my Redhat 7.3 box, but I don't want to run the installer as root and get it hooked into /etc/rc.d/.. etc. [snip] Thanks Freddy ------------------------- If you don't want to use it as a daemon, you don't need to. You can simply run "vncserver" as usual. In short, go ahead and install the RPMs and start it from a terminal prompt. BTW - You might also want to check into the TightVNC at www.tightvnc.com list for TightVNC specifics, though I believe the author is subscribed here, too. -- William Hooper _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
