Try checking your power saving modes. Your blank screen maybe from the
monitor shutting down in what ever time is set for power saving mode.

Subject: Blank Screen Problem

I have finally figured out what is causing my blank screen problem. When
someone else logs onto this XP computer and then log off for some reason the
screensaver comes on at the multiuser screen. None of the users on this
computer have the screensaver enabled. I don't understand why the
screensaver is such a big problem, if I were sitting at the computer and I
so much as moved the mouse, the computer would be brought back to normal
state, so how can I disable the screensaver completely, and what might the
reason be that the screensaver comes on after there are no users logged on,
is there a default account or something, whose preferences I need to change?

Thanks,
Ted Toporkov
