theres two situations where i would like to use vnc at the moment, but not sure how to go about it:
i need to help my mum out do certain things on the computer, but do it remotely so: she uses aol dial up [so does she run the vnc[app] and add my vnc[listen] computer?] and i use blueyonder broadband and sit behind a router [how does she find my pc?] so how do i go about connecting up? how do i find my mum's pc? the second one is: i need to do access on a friends mac, running OS9.x on a G3 i think. they are in a company, behind a firewall, on a network etc in singapore. i am on blueyonder broadband and am sat behind a router... how do we connect up? what things do i need to ask from his network admin if required to do so? how do i find his mac? my previous experience with vnc has only ever been over my local lan so its all a bit different to me for trying to access outside computers... thanks for anyones help in these matters! _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
