Hallo!
You can't use 127.0.0.1 as host address. This is the loopbackThe Host (Work) Windows XP installed WinVNC 3.3.3r9 created "Incoming connection" via Microsoft XP network wizard The Client (Home) Windows 98SE installed WinVNC 3.3.3r9 Dialup connection to Tiny's work number Dialup: connect without any problems I start VNC Viewer from home and type in 127.0.0.1 and 127.0.0.1:0 and 127.0.0.1:1 and 127.0.0.1:2......etc and receive "Failed to connect to server" each time.
adapter's address, which means that by typing 127.0.0.1 you
try to connect to your local computer ("client"). Therefore you
need to figure out the "public" ip address of the host pc - you
should get it by moving over the vnc trayicon while the dun
connection is established.
