George: I'm not sure we know what you want to do, so I'll list the posibilities you left open: 1) you want to use VNC to see what is on the PHYSICAL Screen on the linux box. 2) you want to sign-on and use the linux system remotetly (not necesarily on the physical screen) but with the full functionality. What's the diference? Well, the default unix vnc sets up additional screens (which are viewed remotetly) and does not touch the physical screen. Additionally, you would like to share your desktop with someone else so that you both take turns moving the mouse inputting etc! WOuld you be kind enough to tell us what you are trying to do?
